The State Government has launched a scheme for farmers. The scheme named is KALIA. Kalia stands for “Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation”. Through the implementation of the scheme Kalia, the farmers will get all the inclusive & flexible supports system ensuring accelerated agricultural prosperity. All the farmers are required to apply under this scheme online.

KALIA scheme brings under its umbrella 92% of cultivators of the state and almost all needy landless cultivators, who can avail the benefits of this scheme through the Direct Benefit Transfer Mode. Benefits offered by Kalia Scheme 2024 – www.kalia.co.in Odisha:

Assistance for Cultivation

• Financial Assistance of Rs 25,000/- will be given per farm family for five seasons.
• Will help small farmers to purchase inputs like seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides and use assistance towards labor and other investments.

Assistance for Livelihood

• Financial Assistance of Rs.12,500/-will be provided to each landless Agricultural Household for Agricultural allied activities like for small goat rearing units, mini-layer units, duckery units, fishery kits for fisherman, mushroom cultivation and bee-keeping, etc.

Assistance for Vulnerable Agricultural Household

• Vulnerable cultivators/landless agricultural laborers will get financial assistance of Rs. 10,000/- per family per year.

Interest-free crop loan

• Agricultural families identified by Gram Panchayats will be provided with cop loans up to Rs 50,000 made available at 0% interest.
