Inspire (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) Scholarship is an Scholarship For Higher Education (SHE). Inspire Scholarship is started and managed by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India for attraction of talent to Science in students. Inspire Scholarship is applicable for bachelor’s and master’s courses in Natural and Basic Sciences. INSPIRE Scholarship provides total 12,000 scholarships every year to all eligible & selected students. All the selected candidates will get scholarship of Rs. 80,000/- for studying in  Natural and Basic Sciences.

Eligibility Criteria For Inspire Scholarship [SHE]

• All students having age group of 17-22 years can apply for Inspire Scholarship.
• Applicant must be among the top 1% of the successful students in terms of aggregate marks in his/her class 12th board exam.
• Student must be enrolled in courses of Natural and Basic Sciences at the BSc, BS, and Integrated MSc/MS level in the same year of class 12 passing to apply fo Inspire Scholarship.
• Candidates who are among the top 10000 rankers in Joint Entrance Examination of IIT, AIEEE & cleared CBSE-Medical (AIPTM) and have selected to study Natural / Basic Sciences are eligible for this scholarship.
• Applicants who are admitted to Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER), National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Basic Sciences (DAE-CBS) at the University of Mumbai for pursuing courses in Natural/Basic Sciences leading to B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree can also fill scholarship form.
• Candidates who are KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana), National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), Olympiad Medallists and Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) scholar and are pursuing courses in Natural / Basic Sciences leading to B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree are also eligible for scholarships.
• Inspire Scholarship for Scholarship for Higher Education is only for courses – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Statistics, Geology, Astrophysics, Astronomy, Electronics, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Anthropology, Microbiology, Geochemistry, Atmospheric Sciences, Oceanic Sciences, Ecology, Marine Biology, Genetics, BioPhysics.

Required Documents For Inspire Scholarship

• Passport size photograph of applicant.
• Community/caste certificate for candidates who belongs to OBC/SC/ST category.
• Eligibility note or advisory note if provided by the State/Central Board.
• Class 12th mark sheet.
• Class 10th mark sheet or certificate (as proof of Date of Birth).
• Certificate specifying rank/award in JEE (Main)/ JEE (Advanced)/ NEET/ KVPY /JBNSTS/ NTSE / International Olympic Medallists.

Inspire Scholarship Selection Process (Selected Candidates List)

All the applications are sent to INSPIRE. The selection of students for scholarship is based on specified eligibility criteria.

• Inspire Scholarship Selected Candidates List is available on the official portal of INSPIRE through online mode.
• All the selected students have to download their provisional offer letter using official web portal of INSPIRE.
• Selected candidates must have to upload all necessary documents within the specified timeline for further consideration.
• All the selected candidates will receive Scholarship amount directly into your State Bank of India (SBI) bank account through DBT (Direct Bank Transfer).

Inspire Scholarship Renewal Application Form

To get SHE Scholarship continue for coming years, candidates have to fulfill the given below eligibility criteria.

• Students who wants to apply for Inspire Scholarship Renewal Application Form need to score at least 60% marks or 7.0 GPA on a 10.0-point scale in the annual examinations each year (or 2 semesters).
• If candidate fails to secure the required marks in his/her B.Sc/BS/Int. M.Sc/Int. MS exam, the scholarship for that academic year will be canceled. The scholarship is resumed in the next academic year if the student’s academic performance is satisfactory.
