Ministry of HRD and University Grants Commission (UGC) provide Ishan Uday Scholarship for the students of North Eastern Region (NER) to promote higher education. All eligible students who are studying in general degree courses, technical and professional courses, including medical and paramedical courses. University Grants Commission provides 10000 fresh scholarships every year to NER students. All selected students will get Rs. 7800 per month till completion of a degree course.

Amount of Ishan Uday Scholarship 2024

All the selected students will get scholarship amount of Rs.5400/- p.m. for General Degree courses and Rs. 7800/- p.m. for Technical & Professional courses (including Medical & Para medical courses). The official authorities will send Ishan Uday Scholarship Amount through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the beneficiary student using PFMS.

• Candidate should have to passed 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized board.
• Only students who are admitted in First Year Under-graduate are eligible for scholarship.
• Applicants who have admission in general degree course, technical and professional courses including medical and paramedical courses (Integrated courses included) in recognized Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
• Candidate’s family income is not more than Rs. 4.5 Lakh per annum.
• Transgender candidates are also eligible to apply Ishan Uday Scholarship.

• Students pursuing courses, such as Diploma Courses, not leading to award of a Degree.
• Students whose parents’ income is more than Rs.4.5 lakh per annum.
